Confirm that you want to make the AppImage executable

Notice that the AppImage now shows its correct icon, even if the elficon thumbnailer is not installed

The application is registered in the menu

It can be launched with Alt-F2 as well

When you decide to remove an AppImage, the integration is removed as well.

elementary OS is an Ubuntu-based distribution by Daniel Fore (Dan Rabbit) and others with the goal to be more beautiful, have better default applications and less need for te user to use a console. An alpha version of the Live CD is available from
http://elementary-project.com/downloads ... _0.1.6.iso
I am providing a small patch to the the Live CD for the improved AppImage integration shown above
http://portablelinuxapps.org/elementary ... iso.xdelta
It can be applied to the ISO with the tool xdelta.

All customizations are made via /cdrom/casper/*.dir additions. Check that directory if you want to see the source code.

How is this integration managed? Could it be intgrated in other distros, i.e. with a .deb package or an Archlinux pkgbuild?
