Hi vinirv,
welcome to AppImage!
vinirv wrote:What distro base for development ( create appimages ) ?
Generally you can use any of the supported distributions to develop AppImages. The most important step is to
test the AppImages that you create whether they run on every distribution that you would like to support -- as of this writing, this site aims to support Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) 32-bit, OpenSUSE 11.3 (GNOME) 32-bit , and Fedora 12 (GNOME) 32-bit.
vinirv wrote:QUESTION 01 - Can I develop appimage packages with BOTH versions of distros ?
01.1 - version type 1 - LIVE CD
01.2 - version type 2 - FOR HARD DISK INSTALLATION OR HDI ( THAT INCLUDE : cd, dvd, net installtions, torrent, jigdo etc).
You can develop appimage packages with BOTH versions of distros.
vinirv wrote:QUESTION 02 - What process the FORUM'S DEVELOPMENT TEAM is using by defaul ?
02.1 - ONLY LIVE CD
02.2 - ONLY HARD DIKS INSTALLATION (HDI)
02.3 - OR BOTH
We are generally using Live USB systems, for two reasons:
1. This way we can be sure that nothing has been added/customized and we start with the "plain" OS every time
2. We don't want to keep around installed versions of the three supported distributions
