Idea: Streaming AppImage?

Hi All!

I have tested some of the AppImages, which work nicely in my Debian guest on Virtualbox. I am thinking, however, whether the AppImages can be streamed over the Internet?

Currently, people need to (1) download the AppImage (may be over 200MB for some apps), (2) make AppImage executable, and (3) execute it. Would it be possible to stream the AppImage over the internet, i.e., begin execution immediately after an initial portion of the AppImage is downloaded and continue downloading the rest in background?

I know there are some commercial packages that can do this.

You could mount AppImages over the network as they are simply ISO images...
